Abstract
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aggressive hematopoietic malignancy with poor prognosis in adults despite therapeutic advances. Although cytomolecular risk, functional status, and comorbidities are established prognostic factors, social determinants of health (SDOH), including socioeconomic factors, geographic location, literacy, social support, and structural racism, may also influence AML care and outcomes. This study examined whether SDOH burden was associated with time to treatment initiation and early mortality.
